Intrauterine Insemination

It consists of injecting sperm previously selected and improved in the laboratory, into the uterine cavity at the time the woman is ovulating. To increase the effectiveness of the treatment, ovulation is stimulated with specific drugs and it is controlled by follicular monitoring through ultrasound, to estimate the moment of ovulation, and proceed to inseminate the patient.

The semen is subjected to a technique that allows optimizing both the concentration of sperm, as well as their motility.  This technique improves the semen outside the testicle. It can be performed intracervical, intrauterine and intraperitoneal;  the one that is commonly performed is iui singapore.

Ovarian stimulation consists of inducing multiple ovulation using hormonal medications. During the spontaneous menstrual cycle, many follicles within each ovary begin to develop, but when one of them reaches a slightly larger size there is an inhibition of the growth of the others; With the treatment, it is intended that 1 to 4 follicles develop to full maturity, depending on the age of the patient and the number of the cycle in which it is found.

It can be applied in natural ovulatory cycles, but is more effective in cases where stimulation of ovulation with medications is used.
